Another 26k done and dusted. No photos because the landscape is flat with no trees and just grass...boring that's why we did it in 5 hours. We were super fat today because of Tanya's delicious and nutritious chicken, broccoli, corn and bacon soup, not to forget bread WITH BUTTER, (butter is lacking in Spain and Tanya is blowing budget with buying a tub per day and using two tablespoons. She just offered for me to carry the tubs, little does she understand , is that I'm doin this to loose the tubs!!
Until tomorrow its Beer time adios buen camino.
One notable mention that I left out is that..... WE ARE HALF WAY! That's right travelled 379 k and 379k to go. Meagan Daffey and Erin Cupper you so owe me money!
OMG! We are half way!!. Im going to be upfront here....I didn't think I would make it. For all my bravado
I did not truly believe I could do this. Here I am at the half way point. So I say to all you couch potatoes out there if I can do it you can do it!. And I don't just mean walking the Camino. Whatever it is you want to do in life, pull out your big girl panties and do something towards making it happen. When David and I started training for the Camino I could walk about 3km and then start to whinge about the pain, within a month I was walking 5km everyday 10km on Saturdays & Sundays. Yes it was hard sometimes, yes it was laborious and boring (Hamilton Island is a small island) but we did it .......and look at us now 379km done and dusted. Its down hill from here...oh god I wish it was....in reality it's mainly uphill but hey I HAVE JUST WALKED 397KM,...... In Estelle's words ......I CAN DO ANYTHING!!!
